Recipe Background

Thanks Colleen C. for sharing this recipe for Pulled Pork Sandwiches. This is a great recipe for people who work who have very little time to prep a slow cooker meal in the morning. With only four ingredients it's a snap to make and my family enjoyed these sandwiches.

Slow Cooker
Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 6-8 hours

2-3 pounds pork tenderloin
12-18 ounces barbeque sauce
½ onion, diced
¼ cup honey

Place pork, 1 ½ cups of barbeque sauce (about ¾ of an 18 ounce bottle), onion and honey into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Pull meat apart with two forks, add additional barbeque sauce if desired (my family likes it with extra sauce mixed in at the end), and serve on hamburger buns.

Serves 6-10 and leftovers freeze well.

Cook's Notes: To pull the meat apart, I found it easier to place the tenderloin on a cutting board and cut it into 3 pieces. Then using 2 forks, pull the meat apart for each section. Then return the meat to the slow cooker and add additional barbeque sauce before serving if desired.
