should a congealed salad be covered with plastic wrap while setting overnight

Question: Whether to cover a congealed salad while setting overnight

Answer: I would suggest putting the salad in the refrigerator without a cover initially (for a few hours or until you go to bed), and then put plastic wrap or foil over it before you go to bed. That way the salad will be set enough that it won't stick to the covering, but it will have some protection from other odors in the fridge after it sets.
